Flash Fiction Friday Challenge for 7-16-10

First off, thanks to everyone who played along for Flash Fiction Friday this past week, 7-9-10. Apparently it struck a chord, because we got a nice long list of participants. The following fine people let me know they had played; please go visit them and give some feedback!

Spring Flower:
Luna Mauvaise:
Diable Incarne:
Advizor:  (Advizor is new to the group; hi, Advizor!)
Chocolate Puss:  (Puss is new this week; welcome, Puss!)
Cara:  (Cara is new as well, please go say hi!)

Three people who told me they were participating but didn't include a URL are JimmyJohn and Nightwalker. I'll update the participant list later if they provide me an address. Folks, please provide a website address when you're letting me know you're participating, especially if you're sending me an email, or if your commenting profile doesn't include a site link! I can't always remember, or guess at, a billion addresses. Thanks.

Now for this week's challenge.....

Your challenge for this Friday, 7-16-10, is to use the photo above to write a flash fiction of exactly 69 words. Since everyone seems to be enjoying the required phrases, please use this phrase in your submission:

"...a feast for the senses..."

As usual, nobody's checking word counts, or the key phrase, but you only cheat yourself if you break the rules. Unless you're breaking them to earn a which case, see me after class.

If you're planning on joining in the fun, please email me (insatiabear (AT) gmail [DOT] com) or leave a comment here. And please, for the love of all that's holy, include a website address if you email me, or if your commenting profile doesn't have a link to your page. If you don't let me know you're playing, or don't tell me where you can be found, I'll have to leave you off the list of participants when I post it on Friday. And nobody wants that. :)

Here's a button for you if you want to include that in your post. Use it to link back to the challenge post, if you like, or link to the Flash Fiction Friday FAQ if you'd rather do that....or, if you participate late in the day, you can even link it to my Friday story post with the list of participants.

Check back here on Friday for my take on the challenge and the list of participants, and then again on Monday for the next FFF challenge! And as always, if you have any photos or artwork you'd like to see used in an upcoming week, send them my way. Next week's photo, for example, has been provided by Sephani Paige.

Cara: Do me a favor, please, and provide a link to your site in future. In this particular case it's OK because I can check and see the link in this actual post -- but there are tons of participants and I can't always remember the links to their sites. Plus, your commenting profile isn't viewable so I can't check for a link that way.

Also, you and Mike really ought to make it easier to contact you. I wanted to leave some nice comments on your first FFF offering, but commenting on your site requires a Wordpress account (which I don't have) and I couldn't locate an email address anywhere on the page. Just a suggestion. :)

PS: what happened to my spanking from a few weeks ago? ;-)

Jeez, I got so caught up in making the rounds that I completely forgot that there was a challenge beneath the lists. Of course I'm in.

Spring Flower: It'll be coming when you least expect it. Otherwise it's no fun. :)

Lexi: Thanks for letting me know! Added you to the list.

I will definately play. Yummy!

Is anyone else suffering from the full-time job / kids on vacation / no time to write thing or is just me?

Cate: No kids, but yeah, my writing has been suffering lately as my job has kicked up a lot. I feel your pain...

Sephani: Yay! Glad to have you along for the ride.

B.: Excellent, happy to have you throwing your hat in the ring.

Dee: Tasty indeed, especially the way you interpreted it. Thanks!
